G no Reconguista
Too fast. Everything from the scenes to the dialogue feels rushed. It isn't uncommon for the main character to discover and pilot the lead Gundam in the very first episode, but there was so much happening in such a short amount of time it felt overwhelming.I had so many "ok, how did they get there?" moments throughout the first two episodes that by the time it was over, I was left with so many questions. Unfortunately at the pace the show is already going I doubt if any of them will be answered. It may have been just me though, trying to tie everything into the Universal Century. It's too early to tell if the show is going to be a mess, but at least the character designs, the mechs and the battle scenes look good to me. Seeing the Grimoire in action just made me want one even more.

Now here's a show I'll be looking forward to every week! Character development feels spot-on, and kind of familiar due to similarities with the last season. It kicks off Robotics Notes style - with a girl in a mecha club in desperate need of members - and I'm immediately hooked. The pace is just right, characters are introduced one at a time, with a cliffhanger ending to the first episode.A kit inside a kit inside a trophy...you're left dying to know why. Purely anime fans will be going nuts in a good way, while modelers will either be annoyed or feel challenged by the idea of a model built inside a model (though the NG Virtue/Nadleeh already proves it can be done). The show is entertaining enough for me to get over my hatred for giant kung-fu robots. Of course, girls doing gunpla and piloting mechs is already a winning formula in itself.

Till next time, keep building plamo!
