The company thought it would be a good idea for me to do some on-site support at our world HQ for a migration project we had lined up, so they sent me over to Florida for an entire month. This was my first trip to the US, so it was pretty exciting.

I got to travel in business class, which had the benefit of better seats with more room and use of the airline lounges.

When I got to Tampa, I rented a car under the company account and drove down to Treasure Island where the company had reserved a beach cottage.

This would be my home for the next four weeks. The neighborhood was very quiet, and the aptly named Sunset beach was right down the road. I have to admit I did get some good RnR after office hours.
While I had to work during weekdays, I did have the weekends to experience the local culture, go around, and do some shopping.

The four weeks went by pretty quickly, and by the end of the month I was eager to go home and see my family. All in all it was a great experience, and I look forward to going on trips like this in the future so long as the company needs it.
